Simeon the God-receiver
Simeon the God-receiver was a righteous and devout man in Jerusalem, described in the Gospel of Luke. He was promised by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before seeing the Messiah. When Mary and Joseph presented the infant Jesus at the Temple, Simeon recognized him as the Savior and prophesied about his future. His prayer, the Nunc Dimittis, is widely used in Christian liturgy.
