Saint Eugenie, virgin martyr of Rome
Saint Eugenie was a noblewoman who converted to Christianity in Rome during the third century. Disguised as a man, she entered a monastery and lived a life of deep devotion and virtue. Her faith was discovered, and she was arrested for her beliefs. Refusing to renounce Christ, Eugenie was martyred under the Emperor Valerian. Her courage and steadfast faith have inspired Christians for generations.
