Julie Billiart

Saint Julie Billiart was a French religious sister and founder of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Born in 1751, she devoted her life to the education of poor children and to spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart. Despite suffering from paralysis for over 20 years, she remained joyful and dedicated to her mission. She is remembered for her deep faith and practical charity.
