St. Robert, Abbot of Cìteaux
St. Robert, Abbot of Cîteaux, was a French Catholic saint who lived from around 1021 to 1111 AD. He was a key figure in the founding and early development of the Cistercian order of monks. Robert helped establish the Cistercian monastery in Cîteaux, France, which became the motherhouse of the order.
