Saint Arnulf, bishop of Metz
Saint Arnulf, bishop of Metz, lived in the 6th and 7th centuries and played a significant role in the early Frankish Church. He served as bishop of Metz and was known for his piety, wisdom, and charitable works. Arnulf was also an ancestor of the Carolingian dynasty, including Charlemagne. He retired to a hermit's life before his death and is venerated as a saint, especially in France.
