Saint Marina

Saint Marina is venerated as a virgin and martyr from the early Christian centuries, known especially in the Eastern and Western Churches. According to tradition, she suffered persecution for her faith and remained steadfast to Christ. Many legends surround her life, often confounding her with Saint Margaret of Antioch. She is the patron saint of various places and causes, especially in Spain and Portugal.
