St. Bruno of Segni, Bishop

St. Bruno of Segni was a Catholic bishop and theologian who lived in the 11th-12th century. Born in Segni, Italy, around 1040, he became the Bishop of Segni in 1079. As bishop, he was known for his piety, his defense of Church teachings, and his role in the Investiture Controversy. He authored several theological works, including commentaries on the Bible. St. Bruno is venerated for his holiness and his contributions to Catholic theology. He is the patron saint of the Diocese of Segni.
