Saint Pio, of Pietrelcina
Saint Pio of Pietrelcina was an Italian Capuchin friar, priest, and mystic who lived from 1887 to 1968. He became famous for bearing stigmata, the wounds of Christ, for most of his life. Known for his deep piety, devotion to prayer, and wise confessions, he attracted thousands of pilgrims. Saint Pio is remembered for many reported miracles and spiritual counsel.
