San Severino Boethius, Romano philosopher at Martir

San Severino Boethius ay a Roman philosopher at Kristiyano martyr na nabuhay sa ika-6 siglo AD. Ipinanganak noong mga 480 AD, siya ay isang tanyag na scholar at philosopher, known for kanyang influential work "The Consolation of Philosophy." In 523 AD, siya ay accused of treason at executed by orden of the Ostrogothic King Theodoric Magno. Boethius ay sinasamba bilang santo dahil sa kanyang hindi natitinag na faith at ang kanyang commitment to upholding Kristiyano values even in the face of pag-uusig. Siya ang patron ng philosophers, teologos, at students.
