Saint Fulgentius of Ruspe was a North African bishop and theologian who lived in the late fifth and early sixth centuries. Renowned for his defense of orthodox Christian doctrine, he was a strong opponent of the Arian heresy. He served as Bishop of Ruspe and spent many years in exile due to the Vandal persecution. Fulgentius is remembered for his writings and commitment to the faith.
