Saint Seraphim, of Sarov

Saint Seraphim of Sarov was a Russian monk and mystic, revered for his deep prayer and ascetic life. He became one of the most renowned elders in the Russian Orthodox tradition and is also honored in the Catholic Church. Living much of his life as a hermit in the forests, he was known for his teachings on the acquisition of the Holy Spirit and his compassion for all.
