Paula of Rome
St. Paula was a Roman matron who lived in the 4th century CE. She was born into a noble and wealthy family and was known for her piety and dedication to the Christian faith. After the death of her husband, she devoted herself to a life of prayer, asceticism, and charitable works. She established several monasteries and pilgrim hostels, and she was a patron of the poor and the sick. St. Paula is venerated for her selfless service and her commitment to the teachings of the Church.
