Saint Louise de Marillac
Saint Louise de Marillac was a French widow and co-founder, with Saint Vincent de Paul, of the Daughters of Charity. She dedicated her life to serving the poor, sick, and marginalized in 17th-century France. Louise developed innovative social works including hospitals, orphanages, and education for girls. She is remembered for her deep faith, compassion, and organizational abilities.
