Saint Roderick

Saint Roderick was a priest and martyr from Córdoba, Spain, in the 9th century. He lived during a time of intense persecution of Christians under Moorish rule. Accused falsely of apostasy, he steadfastly maintained his faith despite imprisonment and torture. He was ultimately executed for refusing to renounce Christianity. Saint Roderick is honored as one of the Martyrs of Córdoba.
