St. Innocent I, Pope
St. Innocent I was the Pope of the Catholic Church from 401 to 417 AD. Born in Albano, Italy, he was known for his strong stance against heresy and his defense of the authority of the Roman See. During his pontificate, he condemned the Pelagian heresy and upheld the primacy of the Pope. St. Innocent I is venerated for his unwavering commitment to preserving the purity of the faith and for his efforts to maintain the unity of the Church. He is the patron saint of pope.
