Saint Lea of Rome

Saint Lea of Rome was a noblewoman who lived in the fourth century. She left her wealth and comfort behind to join a Roman convent and dedicate her life to prayer and penance. Saint Jerome wrote about her virtues, humility, and steadfast faith. She is an example of self-denial and charity. Saint Lea is venerated as a patroness of widows.
