Saint Armand, bishop of Maastricht
Saint Armand, bishop of Maastricht, was a prominent missionary and church leader of the 7th century. He evangelized regions in present-day Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. Renowned for his ascetic life, Armand founded numerous monasteries, including the famous Elnon Abbey. He tirelessly worked to convert pagans and is venerated as a patron saint of brewers and winemakers.
