St. Lucy Filippini (1672-1732) was an Italian Catholic saint and the foundress of the Maestre Pie Filippini, a religious congregation dedicated to the education of young girls. Born in Corneto, Italy, she dedicated her life to serving the poor and marginalized, establishing schools and orphanages throughout the Papal States. Venerated for her tireless work and piety, St. Lucy Filippini is the patron saint of teachers and students.
