Saint Desiderius of Vienne
Saint Desiderius of Vienne was a bishop in Vienne, France, during the late 6th and early 7th centuries. He was known for his wisdom, justice, and efforts to promote ecclesiastical discipline and education. Desiderius opposed the political abuses of his time and defended the rights of the Church. He was ultimately martyred in 607, reportedly stoned to death for his steadfastness in faith.
