Saint Emilian, martyr of Dorostorum

Saint Emilian, martyr of Dorostorum, was a Christian who suffered martyrdom in the city of Dorostorum (modern-day Silistra, Bulgaria) during the persecutions of Emperor Julian the Apostate in the 4th century. Refusing to renounce his faith, he publicly proclaimed his Christianity and was condemned to death. His courage and steadfastness inspired many other Christians of his time.
