Saint Claudius of Besançon
St. Claudius was a 6th-century Catholic saint who served as an abbott and bishop. He was born in Gaul (modern-day France) and lived a life devoted to religious service. As an abbott, he founded and oversaw several monasteries, known for their piety and devotion. Claudius was later appointed as the Bishop of Besançon, where he continued his work of shepherding the faithful. He is venerated for his strong leadership, piety, and commitment to the Church. St. Claudius is the patron saint of those suffering from insomnia and sleeplessness.
