St. Medard, Bishop of Noyon
St. Medard was a French bishop who lived in the 6th century. Born in 456 AD in Salency, France, he served as the Bishop of Noyon-Tournai from 530 AD until his death in 545 AD. Medard was known for his holiness, charity, and miracles, and he was a close friend of the Frankish king Clovis I. Medard is the patron saint of rain, good weather, prisoners, and against storms.
