Saint Alena
Saint Alena was a Belgian virgin martyr from the 7th century. She converted to Christianity against her pagan parents' wishes and secretly attended Mass. Martyrdom came when her father's guards attempted to prevent her from joining the Christian community, resulting in her death. Alena is venerated as a model of piety and steadfastness in faith. Her relics are enshrined in fore Abbey in Forest, near Brussels.
