Saint Isaac, abbot of Spoleto
Saint Isaac, abbot of Spoleto, was a Syrian hermit who settled in Italy during the sixth century. He became the abbot of a monastery near Spoleto, where he was renowned for his holiness and miracles. Isaac was known for his strict ascetic practices, deep prayer life, and gifts of prophecy. He died around 550 and is commemorated on June 17.
