Emily de Vialar

Saint Emily de Vialar was born in 1797 in Gaillac, France. She founded the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition, a congregation dedicated to education, healthcare, and missionary work, particularly aiding the poor and sick. Emily endured many difficulties, including financial hardships and opposition, but remained steadfast in her faith and charitable mission. She died in 1856 and was canonized in 1951 for her holiness and service.
