Saint Emma, widow of Bremen

Saint Emma, widow of Bremen, was a noblewoman of 11th-century Germany. After the death of her husband, she dedicated her life and wealth to caring for the poor and supporting the Church. She founded several churches and monasteries, contributing greatly to the Christianization of Northern Germany. Saint Emma is especially venerated in Bremen, where her charitable works had a lasting impact.
