Saint Aaron, abbot of Brittany
Saint Aaron, abbot of Brittany, was a 6th-century Welsh or Breton hermit who settled near Lamballe in Brittany. Renowned for his sanctity, he established a monastic community that attracted numerous disciples, including Saint Malo. Aaron's life of prayer, asceticism, and charity made him a prominent figure among the early Christian hermits of Western Europe. He is venerated particularly in Brittany, and his legacy lives on in several place names and local devotions.
