Wandrille
Saint Wandrille, also known as Wandregisel, was a Frankish abbot and monastic founder born around 600 AD. He left a life at the royal court to pursue religious devotion, eventually establishing the famous Abbey of Fontenelle in Normandy. Renowned for his piety, wisdom, and commitment to monastic reform, his abbey became a vital center of spiritual and intellectual life. He is venerated in the Catholic Church as a model of monastic holiness.
