Saint Mary Magdalene, disciple of Jesus, was a prominent follower of Christ who is mentioned frequently in the Gospels. She witnessed the crucifixion, stood by Jesus at the cross, and was the first to see the risen Lord on Easter morning. Mary Magdalene is often called the 'Apostle to the Apostles' for announcing Jesus’ Resurrection to them.
