St. Peter Chrysologus, Bishop of Ravenna and Doctor of the Church

St. Peter Chrysologus (c. 380-450 AD) was a Bishop of Ravenna and a Doctor of the Church. Born in Imola, Italy, he was known for his eloquent and concise preaching, earning him the title "Chrysologus" (Greek for "Golden-Worded"). As Bishop of Ravenna, he played a significant role in defending the Church against heresy and strengthening the faith of his flock. He is venerated for his devotion to Christ and his ability to convey the essence of Christian teachings. St. Peter Chrysologus is the patron saint of preachers and orators.
