Saint Nicodemus, disciple of Jesus

Saint Nicodemus was a Pharisee and a member of the Jewish ruling council who appears in the Gospel according to John. He visited Jesus by night to discuss spiritual rebirth and later defended Him before the other Pharisees. After the Crucifixion, Nicodemus assisted Joseph of Arimathea in preparing Jesus' body for burial. He is honored as a disciple who showed courage and respect for Jesus.
