St. Francis Borgia, Jesuit
St. Francis Borgia (1510-1572) was a Spanish Jesuit priest and theologian. He was born into a noble family and served as the 4th Duke of Gandia before renouncing his titles and wealth to join the Jesuits. As a Jesuit, he became a leading figure in the Counter-Reformation, serving as the 3rd Superior General of the order. He is venerated for his piety, humility, and dedication to serving the poor. St. Francis Borgia is the patron saint of Jesuit brothers, the Duchy of Gandia, and the Academy of the Immaculate Conception.
