Saint Charles Garnier, martyr of North America
Saint Charles Garnier was a French Jesuit missionary who served among the Huron people in New France during the 17th century. He dedicated his life to evangelization and ministering to Indigenous peoples. Garnier was known for his gentle nature, humility, and tireless work. He was killed in 1649 during an Iroquois attack for his faith and devotion, becoming one of the North American Martyrs.
