Malachy

Saint Malachy was an Irish archbishop and reformer who lived during the 12th century. He was born in 1094 in Armagh, Ireland, and became Bishop of Down and later Archbishop of Armagh. Malachy is known for his efforts to bring the Irish Church in line with Roman practices and for his work in church reform. He was a close friend of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, who later wrote his biography. Saint Malachy died in 1148 in France while visiting Clairvaux Abbey.
