Saint Silvia

Saint Silvia is venerated as the mother of Pope Saint Gregory the Great. Born to a noble Roman family, she was known for her faith, piety, and charitable works. After the death of her husband, Silvia devoted herself wholly to prayer and acts of kindness. The Church honors her as a model Christian mother and widow, remembered for her dedication and strength. Her cult is especially notable in Rome.
