Saint Charles, bishop of Milan
Saint Charles, bishop of Milan, is also known as Charles Borromeo. He was a leading figure of the Counter-Reformation and a key architect of the reforms of the Council of Trent. As Archbishop of Milan, he established seminaries, improved clergy discipline, and tirelessly cared for the poor and the sick, especially during the plague. He is remembered for his pastoral zeal, humility, and commitment to Church renewal.
