Catherine of Alexandria
St. Catherine of Alexandria was a Christian saint and martyr who lived in the 4th century AD. She was born in Alexandria, Egypt, and was known for her exceptional intelligence and devotion to her faith. When the Roman emperor Maxentius demanded that she renounce her Christian beliefs, she refused, leading to her imprisonment and eventual execution by beheading. St. Catherine is venerated for her steadfast faith and is the patron saint of philosophers, students, and young women.
