B. Urban V, Pope

B. Urban V, born Guillaume de Grimoard, was Pope from 1362 to 1370. He was born around 1310 in Grisac, France, and is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church. As pope, he worked to reform the Church and restore the Papacy to Rome from Avignon. He is known for his piety, charity, and efforts to end the Avignon Papacy. B.
