Saint John
St. John, the Apostle and Evangelist, was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus. He was the son of Zebedee and the younger brother of James the Great. John was present at many key events in Jesus' ministry and was the disciple "whom Jesus loved." After the Resurrection, he became a leader in the early Church, writing the Fourth Gospel, three Epistles, and the Book of Revelation. John is venerated as the author of the Fourth Gospel and a Doctor of the Church. He is the patron saint of love, loyalty, friendships, and theologians.
