Saint Melania the Younger

St. Melany, also known as Melania the Younger, was a Roman matron who lived in the 5th century AD. She was born into a wealthy and influential family and was known for her deep devotion to the Christian faith. Melany dedicated her life to works of charity and the support of the Church, using her resources to build monasteries and care for the poor. She is particularly venerated for her piety and her role in protecting the Church during a time of political upheaval. Melany is the patron saint of widows and is invoked for the protection of the family.
