San Evaristus, Papa

San Evaristus ay the fifth Papa of the Simbahang Katoliko, serving mula sa mga 100 to 109 AD. Siya ipinanganak sa Antioch, Sirya at pinaniniwalaang naging of Greek descent. Bilang Papa, siya ay kinikilala sa establishing the tradition of having seven deacons to assist the Papa in Rome. Siya ay din said to ay may divided the lungsod of Rome sa parishes at appointed priests to serve in each one. San Evaristus ay sinasamba dahil sa kanyang pinunoship at dedication to the early Kristiyano Church.
