St. André Bessette
St. André Bessette (1845-1937) was a Canadian religious brother who is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church. Born in Quebec, he joined the Congregation of Holy Cross and served as a porter at Notre-Dame College in Montreal for over 40 years. He was known for his kindness, compassion, and healing powers, which drew thousands of pilgrims to the college's shrine. After his death, he was beatified in 1982 and canonized in 2010. St. André Bessette is the patron saint of those suffering from cold and flu, as well as of workers.
