Saint Melchior, Magus from the East

Saint Melchior, Magus from the East, is traditionally recognized as one of the three Wise Men who visited the Infant Jesus after his birth, bearing gifts of gold. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church, and his story is closely associated with the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6. Melchior is often depicted as an elderly king, symbolizing Europe, and is said to have presented gold to Christ. His relics are reputedly enshrined in the Cologne Cathedral.
