Saint Balthazar
Saint Balthazar is traditionally venerated as one of the three Wise Men or Magi who visited the infant Jesus following his birth, as described in the Gospel of Matthew. Depicted as a king from Arabia or sometimes Africa, he symbolizes the universality of Christ's message. Balthazar is frequently shown presenting myrrh as his gift. The relics of the Magi are said to rest in the Cologne Cathedral. Though not canonized in the usual sense, he is honored as a saint in the Catholic calendar.
