Saint Charles, of Sezze
Saint Charles of Sezze was an Italian Franciscan lay brother born in 1613 in Sezze, Italy. He lived a humble life as a porter and was known for his deep spirituality and mystical experiences. Charles had little formal education but became renowned for his wisdom and charity towards the poor and sick. He died in 1670 and was canonized by Pope John XXIII in 1959.
