Blessed Justo Takayama Ukon, Japanese Christian lord
Blessed Justo Takayama Ukon was a Japanese samurai and daimyo who converted to Christianity during the 16th century. He was a devoted follower of Christ and became known for his steadfast faith in the face of persecution. Takayama Ukon chose exile rather than renouncing his faith when Christianity was outlawed in Japan. He spent his final days in Manila, where he died shortly after arriving.
