St. Joseph of Leonessa, Capuchin friar

St. Joseph of Leonessa (1556-1612) was a Capuchin friar and renowned preacher known for his devotion to the poor and his tireless efforts to convert non-believers. Born in the town of Leonessa, Italy, he joined the Capuchin Order as a young man and spent much of his life traveling throughout Europe, sharing the Gospel and ministering to the sick and destitute.
