B. Elisabeth Canori Mora, Mother
Blessed Elisabeth Canori Mora (1774-1825) was a lay Franciscan and mystic from Rome, Italy. She was devoted to the Passion of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary, and experienced many mystical visions and ecstasies. Elisabeth was known for her deep prayer life, mortification, and service to the poor. She is venerated for her holiness and the miracles attributed to her intercession. Elisabeth is the patroness of consecrated widows and of those suffering from spiritual trials.
