Jordan of Saxony
Blessed Jordan of Saxony was a prominent 13th-century Dominican friar and the second Master General of the Dominican Order. Born around 1190 in Saxony, Germany, he joined the Dominicans in 1210 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Master General in 1222. During his leadership, the Order experienced significant growth and expansion across Europe. Jordan was known for his spiritual guidance, preaching, and commitment to the Dominican ideals of study and contemplation. He is venerated for his piety, wisdom, and contributions to the development of the Dominican tradition.
