Saint Catherine, mystic of Ricci

Saint Catherine, mystic of Ricci, was an Italian Dominican nun born in 1522 in Florence. She entered the convent at Prato and became renowned for her deep spirituality and mystical visions, especially of the Passion of Christ. Catherine was known for her ecstasies and for bearing the stigmata. She guided many through correspondence and personal counsel. She died in 1590 and was canonized in 1746.
